Cummins ECM change (split from another topic)

Our 1995 has the 400 hp engine. I've never seen the details on what Foreetravel did to accomplish the uprating. Did they simply flash the ECM, or was something else changed?

Since I'm in the middle of an ECM replacement on my '95 ($$$$) - that's 4 coach bucks... I can say its just a setting change.

What are they doing for the 4 coach bucks ??, surely lot more than just a ECM unless your at a non Cummins factory shop ??

Cummins Power South - ECM $2700

labor so far 1100, two trips mileage 108 miles - coach cant be towed due to the location in storage.

Power Masters and core reimbursement not applied yet.

Dave, when I was in PHX with the troubles on coach lately the Cummins folks thought my ECM was faulty and replaced it. The bill was $1300 for it and $625 core (which was of course deleted as they had old one on coach). Labor was $439.00 which included a tech going with me for 2 hr drive while he had computer hooked up to monitor engine etc.
Maybe you are getting a lot more work done that is included.?

These older M11 1st generation ECMs haven't been built in over 10 years.
Lack of availability is driving up the price.

 I guess so by the looks of it.
Why are they replacing it? Hopefully not just a wiring problem like mine was?

My local Cummins shop/distributor gets $2,247.00 exchange for that number 3084473RX, have two in stock.

Thanks! I got out the door with 3 trips to me, 11-12 hours labor, tax plus ECM for 3600.00
