Service Time MOT

My TracStar has been acting up with a "Ant Comm Error" so I need to take it to someone smarter than myself.  Knowing that FOT is probably backlogged and not to test the non extra motorcade expense I decided to call MOT.  Got right in on the 4th.  Now thats service.  I have been using FOT but now I am a MOT customer as they answer the phone with assistance if needed.  Dan

Good to know; thanks for reporting.  It seems that MOT really knows how to run their business.

One of FoT biggest issues is scheduling and Customer service. They do not consider what you are coming in for they just put you to the end of the line. In my case I was at FT for remodel work and my windshield cracked.  They could not get me in for a one hour fix but at 930 MOT fit me in, pulled and replaced the windshield and had me plugged in at a site in under an hour. That is good will and they did not even have to pull a coach out of the bay.  They put two guys on it and it was done in less then an hour.  Now FT could have done the same thing. They spend more then an hour walking back and forth for parts alone and waiting on them.  There needs to be a revamp of the shop over there but truth be told, as long as we have MOT and their can do attitude we are all better off.

Being a weirdo, I have no issue with FOT, MOT nor Xtreme, it depends on what is needed and a little communcation in clear English   Have had great results from all three.

John:  I think you are correct :o  from what I have seen :o  FOT works only thru service writers and MOT is scheduled by the service manager who has knowledge of all work being performed.  This allows better flow thru the service department.  Mot will have a service writer when you are there for a longer job but the quick fixes are taken care of by the service manager.  :))

2 way communication is the key!!

We spent 2 days at MOT getting some things done last week- and adding some things to the list ( imagine that).  Always was able to talk with Mike Rogers about the progress, or when he was busy in the shop, talked with Jill, the service writer.

Bought our coach from MOT 7 years ago and use them a lot.  They are very service oriented and it shows.

Looking forward to seeing the expansion across the loop road and how it will help MOT grow, ease the over crowding in their lot, etc.
Dave is doing it right.

Cya down the road.

William is new service manager and they now have two service writers at MOT, Jill and Terrie.  I always get prompt service from writer Jill, not worked with Terrie yet, not had to go to manager who has other job but prior managers stephen and Mike R  would volunteer, hey, what you need?  Have a two hour non bay job set for may 18.  Jill and terrie to have service writer jobs, one each site.

By the way, Jill would always set my appointment based on the urgency and, or severity of problem, and has called to ask if i can delay if they have gotten into a workload bind.  I have gotten in always when need on timely basis.  I like their philosophy....a triage approach to service, no need to work on my minor issue when someone in from long distance with minor issue or someone urgent need with breakdown

FOT probably does the same.  I know Xtreme does, if very minor they can work it in, but their jobs often large cannot shift those around much i think.

We living near are so fortunate to have all plus Bernd in this town

If you make appointment with FT make sure that it is an appointment to do repairs not a "look see appointment" and make another appointment to get the work done. That is what I experienced with them. 1st time there and next time I will specify to do work not look and see.
