Cummins Bridgeway saves the day

The day after changing fuel filters, stopped for lunch and started up with the horrible check engine light, power derating, etc.  Now it was lasting much longer, on almost constant.  I pulled over to check for water in the fuel- nope- just good golden diesel fuel.  Have new fuel lines, filters, etc.....had Karen call Cummins ( we were about 75 miles from them in Indiana and at times I wasn't sure we would make it).  We got there, and they had a tech. hook into the computer and start evaluating our issues.  I was really hoping it wasn't the CAPS pump, although it had a lot of the symptoms.  It turned out, the pump is good, but there were shorts in the wire harness.  The tech was about to isolate the shorts, splice in new connections, test the new wiring, road test, etc.  No parts, just some shop supplies and time- got out under $600 using my Cummins Power Club card.  Spent the night on their electric and drove today about 70 miles to our campground- ran fine, full power, etc.

Ryan ( 2nd shift manager) and his guys were great and did a fine job.  Saw Peter Martins coach being pulled in for PM this morning.
I know you had dropped off the coach Peter, that is why we missed saying hello.

When in Cincinnati area, if need help with Cummins, go to Cummins Bridgeway.  Not cheap, but good.- Sounds like a Foretravel...

Ted,
I've maintained Forrest there the past 10 years.  They've done everything from adjusting the valves to fixing the Splendide washer/drier.  Great folks here in Cincinnati.

Besides the annual maintenance and safety checks/inspections, this time the fuel supply & return lines are being replaced.  Will tell all the cost of this job up north (as they say). All should be done by May 11 when we get back from the windy city.

Hello Tim. Hello Keith & Joyce.
