Re: Fuel Lines Hours Charged Reply #20 – May 16, 2015, 03:08:49 pm Bernd's labor rate is $99 per hour, $89 if you are a member of Motorcade club. Most other's are $110.The only real problem with changing the lines yourself is TIME and three rectangular clamps located just in front of the differential that must be removed in order to pull the new line. In addition, there seems to be about a hundred tie wraps in the wire way where you have to work. The other problem is getting to the fittings on the tank top. Quote Selected
Re: Fuel Lines Hours Charged Reply #21 – May 16, 2015, 03:32:19 pm When comparing different shop rates; keep in mind that Bern'd removes the fuel tank, replaces all fitting, and run the new line from the front all the way to the back. Some shops splice the lines. He also filters the fuel going back into the tank. The price is not cheap but cheap should not be a consideration with fuel lines. IMHO Quote Selected

Re: Fuel Lines Hours Charged Reply #23 – May 16, 2015, 04:38:14 pm Here is an example of one end of one of my 10 year old fuel lines. Very inflexible , very dirty. Had Bernd replace all of them. Quote Selected
Re: Fuel Lines Hours Charged Reply #24 – May 16, 2015, 08:23:24 pm That fuel line doesn't look great, but it also doesn't look compromised and may have had a bit of life left in it.What is Bernd using for replacement fuel line? Quote Selected
