Progressive Industries power conditioner

Anyone install a Progressive Industries 50amp power monitor/conditioner in a 2002 U295?

What is your question?  You have two choices of where to install: On the shore cable that goes into the transfer switch.
On the cable from the transfer switch that goes into the main breaker box.

Dean W installed the one on my coach, he's a lurker on here so maybe he'll chime in. Looks to me like the hardest pare would be bending and connecting the heavy wire.

Just a quick clarification on the product - I don't believe Progressive makes a power conditioner.  Their products are surge and power protection devices.

The easiest method is to buy their portable EMS that plugs into the shore power and then your RV's power cable plugs into that. It was one of the first upgrades we made to the coach (that and throwing out the old charger/converter and installing a Pregressive Dynamics smart-charger).

We prefer Progressive Industries hard wired with remote readout in a living area.

I installed the Progressive Industries monitor last year on my 96 between the transfer switch and the Main breaker box so that it works for both shore power and generator.  I bought the one with the remote read out.  Wish I had bought the one with the readout in the unit, just lift the bed if there is a problem.  It was a pita to run the cable and find a place to mount the remote readout.  It's in the bedroom where we see it all night long as it cycles through the readings.  You can turn the remote read out cycling off, but then it reads "OFF" in red letters.  It also hums which I can hear without my hearing aids.  I'm still glad I installed it as it did kill the power once for low voltage.

Jerry, we found a piece of black electrical tape can block out the lighted Progressive Industries remote display.  The amp display helps us when we are plugged into a 30 or 20 amp outlet, so we don't turn something on that could trip the pedestal breaker.

I noticed the installation video on Progressive's web site shows mounting the remote display on the inside of the bay door where it's installed. He mounted it on a hinge so it would hang down and be readable from the electric pedestal.
Seemed like a good idea to me.
Your thoughts?
We don't have one ...yet.  :)

Steve installed ours with 2 remote displays.  One (and the switch box to select between the two remotes) is in our utility bay, so I can check both legs when we first hook up.  The second is mounted up by our Powerline Monitor and Xantrex display in the kitchen.  That's the one that we normally have active when camped.  Once we confirm the shore connection is good, I switch the output to the interior display.  I have never heard a hum or any other noise from it, nor has Steve (and because one member of the Posse has an issue or two, one of us occasionally spends the night on the pullout couch, we would have noticed by now).
