Based on a REALLY quick Google search on this model, I'm thinking the only way to tow the 2014 Audi will be on a trailer.  The combination of AWD and AUTO is usually a deal killer for flat tow or dolly tow.  But, as my DW often points out, I could be wrong.

I looked at an 2008 audi tt auto for towing one time, and after much research, did not buy it. Audi's have no
provision for disconnecting the full time 4 wheel drive, and being auto, turns too much machinery in
the transmission when any wheel is turning. There are a few auto's you can tow, do not think Audi is one of them.

Remco makes lube pumps for some vehicles and also has a good searching area to check to see if your car is towable, or if not, if they can make it towable with a lube pump, etc.

I tow a 2013 Subaru Outback AWD- with a 6 speed manual tranny.  These AWD's with autos must be towed on a trailer only, no option for a dolly as it would destroy the AWD.  We like the manual tranny- many do not.

Research  Research  Research- before you buy anything.  Don't take the word of the salesman- look for it in the owners manual.
Best of luck finding your toad.

You might try reading information about towed cars on Remcotowing.com. They make transmission lubrication pumping systems for automatic transmission vehicles. Jim

FWIW,
Don't think that Audi would be a good toad.  I agree with the others. Frankly, I would not want to go to all the cost and trouble of adding lube pump, transmission disconnects and other things that may make the Audi towable.  I would look at 2014 or earlier CRV, or in my case, I recently got a 2015 GMC terrain (both small/medium SUVs).  I have been happy with it.  It does pretty much what I would like and I know it is not a German car which I certainly too have an affinity.  In 2015 Honda went to a CV transmission which makes it non towable.  Cars are such an emotional issue though, so take this with a grain of salt.  Best of travels.

My 2 cents...  Our 2009 Honda Fit is a great towed -  typical Honda reliability.  Only problem we found in 30k of towing is that it is a little too close to the ground.  Takes a bit of a beating (dips, entryways, potholes) and the coach's rear tires throw up enough pebbles to cause road rash on the low front end.

Our new Jeep Cherokee has 6k miles and 3k towed with none of the above issues. Not sure it will be as bullet proof as the Honda but no problems so far.

We also tow a Jeep Wangler (1998).  Nice mixed use vehicle.  But it is not something we would want to drive one way for 1000 miles. A Subaru was carefully considered.  A Honda Element was also considered, a nice towable storage container.  What you tow is a very personal choice..

Adam,
I chased my tail around for a while trying to figure out how I could tow a Cayenne and concluded it was too "nice to tow." I went with a 5 speed manual MINI (...after towing a Blazer/Jimmy with a Remco disconnecting driveshaft nearly 100,000 miles.) Simple and light. Might be a bit too low, but seems to work so far. Road rash is expected but really annoying. Good luck and keep us posted!

I was considering buying an enclosed trailer to tow my SL550. Dear wife decided to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee to tow behind.  Her justification for the new jeep was that it wasn't much more expensive than a trailer.  I don't know what kind of trailer she thought I was going to buy, but Jeep has worked out well. You just have to make sure it has the correct transfer case to allow towing.

Our 2013 Chevy Equinox AWD works quite well for us. The removal of one fuse (and turning off the radio and other accessories) is all that's required when ready to tow. It's very comfortable as a daily driver, and will comfortably seat five .

Adam,
I had a 2012 Audi Q5 3.2 that could not be towed 4 wheels down. Somebody has already mentioned that the issue is all wheel drive. They are great cars, but can not tow them 4 wheels down. Our tow is a 2012 Yukon 4X4.
