FINISHED at last...I'm smiling from ear to ear.

Mike stained the table and installed it.  I'm am SO happy with the way it all turned out.  Now I'm ready for some adventures. haha

Nice! That is JUST what we did with our '93 U225! I loved the versatility of that type of arrangement. One thing that David Flanagan did for me was to drill a 2" hole in the top that gave access to the elec outlet on the support below.  It was great to run computer cords or whatever and keep them out of the way.  It had a filler/cover for when it was not needed.

Table looks great!  I know you are gonna like it as much as we do.  Kudos on a beautiful completed project!

Looks very good, I hope to see it in person sometime soon.
We are here in Galveston Island State park beach side, since last Sunday. We are heading home tomorrow. You two need to check this place out for few days (if you like beach) It was in mid 90's with nice breeze and no mosquitoes and no sea weed.

That is coming Carol....he just didn't do it just now. haha  We first saw Chuck & Jeannie's done and loved the idea.  Plus it gives you SO much more room in the kitchen area.  We might put a shelf underneath as Chuck & Jeannie did also.  Thanks, Joanne

That will be PAINFUL - boring holes in that beautiful finish!  But it IS very handy having a way to cleanly route power cords.  We have two 1" holes - one on each side of the center table support.  We also had a second duplex electrical outlet added, so there is one (under the table) on each side of the support.

We spent some time with Bookie (FOT remod shop) deciding on the shelf dimensions.  We wanted to be sure we had sufficient "knee room" when sitting at the table.  Ended up with the following:  The length is the same as the table - shelf runs full length, in two sections split by the center table support.  Shelf is 12" deep (front to back), and hangs down about 7" below the underside of the table.  This allows our chairs (which look just like yours) to slide under the shelf (when slid all the way in) with about 1" of clearance.

We did the same kind of upgrade a couple years ago but on our slide. Best upgrade we did in a long time.
