grey water sensor

My 2003 U320 (3820) has an Auto Cinema Model 7169 color display for the back-up camera and the tank indicators, compass and coach battery voltmeter. The grey water indicator has become flaky, first it doesn't indicate any water, then it flashes, very, very faintly, an approximately accurate volume, then nothing, etc. The fresh and black indicators are clear and accurate as is the propane and other readouts. I suspect the pressure sensor in the outflow pipe is bad. Any other ideas? I am searching for solutions before scheduling an appointment for replacing the sensor.
I have had  intermittent problems for years with the screen retracting spontaneously while cruising down the road usually associated with bumps in the highway. I have improved on this problem by securing the back of the unit with cable ties to the frame and tightening the mounting screws. On my last trip this past spring I noticed that the camera is getting quite hot, enough so that I shut it down for a while. I had previously always driven with the back-up camera "on". In addition the compass was frozen on "N" but now is reading accurately.
No RV! Have hung up the keys.
