What See Level system is recommended by group?
Re: See Level Reply #1 – April 12, 2021, 03:12:09 pm The Garnet SeeLevel II Model 709 Tank Monitoring System has been the standard recommendation since I have been a member here. Two of the 709 kits will give you 6 of the 12" tank senders and two monitor panels. Two 12" senders per tank will provide top to bottom coverage. Most owners put one monitor inside the coach, and one in the wet bay. Link below where I purchased ours, but check around online for best current price. There is also a newer model kit that includes monitor panels with Bluetooth, if that would be of interest to you.Garnet 709 SeeLevel II Tank Monitoring System Quote Selected

Re: See Level Reply #5 – April 12, 2021, 08:03:58 pm QuoteIF you cut them they have to be the same length Keith, I saw that in the instructions and I called Garnet. They advised me that they do not have to be the same length. They just should not be radically different. In my case, I cut one to 9" and the other to 10.5" which covers the entire tank.jor Quote Selected 1 Likes

Re: See Level Reply #9 – April 13, 2021, 11:10:15 am My suggestion is to end strips on the all of the tanks a couple inches below the top, you want to hit 100% on the fresh tank before it overflows and definitely want to hit 100% on the waste tanks with room to spare. If the fresh tank strips end a couple inches above the bottom and it says zero you will have a bit of reserve remaining.Roger Quote Selected 3 Likes

I prefer 100% to represent 100%. I also fill my water tank until it overflows. Lose a little splashing out when it's topped but I appreciate the full level when dry camping. To paraphrase Dave, whatever makes you happy! Quote Selected 1 Likes
Re: See Level Reply #11 – April 13, 2021, 11:03:28 pm Unless the overflow has been changed from as built at the factory your fresh water tank overflow runs down the rear bulkhead. I would prefer to avoid that. And a couple gallons short of 102 gallons isn't going to be an issue. Quote Selected

Re: See Level Reply #13 – April 14, 2021, 02:04:54 pm I added a gate valve to the overflow so that the left hand turns don't dump so much water. I never close is completely but sometimes 95% with a full water tank when in transit. Quote Selected 2 Likes
Re: See Level Reply #14 – April 14, 2021, 03:38:10 pm I don't have complete coverage of the tanks with my sea level system and it's fine with me. I want to know when my fresh water tank is almost empty, and I want to know when my black and gray are almost full. I don't really need to know if my gray tank is almost empty. At the cost of those sensors I decided to do it that way. The previous owner installed them but then he installed the wrong sensors. They have to be the same sensors not the same length. So I bought new sensors from sea level and saved a little bit of money. Works great for me. I can see my freshwater tank easily and know when it's full or empty. I really wish for travel had done things a little bit different and put the overflow on the same side as to fill but it works this way just as well. I also repositioned my freshwater tank overflow to the bottom of the wet Bay. Quote Selected 4 Likes
Re: See Level Reply #15 – April 14, 2021, 05:35:25 pm One day I might get a sea level system. My black water works good and fresh water is iffy and grey water doesn't work but as it isa bigger tank than my fresh water tank I don't care. Bob I like you idea that you don't need to know if the fresh water is full and the other two are empty. I think I will do that when I get around to a See Level System. Quote Selected 1 Likes
