zip dee slide toppers

I have a 2008 Nimbus with no slide toppers. I have read the posts regarding  slide toppers for foretravels. zipdee makes a slide topper/window awning  combo that I'm thinking about installing on my slides. Looking for comments  pro or con or if anyone else has had these installed.

Also read where the 2008 Nimbus had the slide 'filled'in' I'm not sure what  this refers to. Mine are flat on top so unsure what 'filled'in' referred to.

Lyle Reed has announced that slide toppers are under consideration for whatever models they are planning now. There must bet something "new" in the availability of these recently. The Zip-Dee awning-slide topper over my street side LR window-slide has been a source of many expended coach bucks and trip delays and adult words and general consternation. When it works, it is a great accessory, provides LR privacy, reduces AC usage and allows better outside viewing at twilight, prior to need to close curtains. Would I do it again, yes. I do hope that better engineering is available now.

No RV! Have hung up the keys.

Our slide toppers by Zip Dee are still working fine.  We will have our current LR slide resown, (some stitches are failing at the seams) or replace it.  We like ours.  We have had some work done to the large awning but it has been working flawlessly since Zip Dee worked on it in Gillette 2 summers ago.  I think 13 years of good service is OK.  ;D
