Latches for basement storage compartments

Does anyone know where to get these latches. I have one completely gone. I cannot see a name on them.

You might try googling 'RV bay door latches" and see what comes up.

Gone..??? or not working ?
if too much "slop" check the connecting rod ends..they wear, also the release latch wears...they are available

Gone could mean that just the spring inside is broken.  If you're handy they can be taken apart by drilling out the rivets and rebuilt using a new spring and bolt/bushings to replace the two hollow, shouldered rivets.

Four years ago the rotary latches were
 $57.40 each, plus freight from FOT. They had a limited supply and are no longer made.

Interesting thread... I had the spring break on wet bay door. It was in the locked position. Couldn't open by trying to snag the bar with a straighted coat hanger. Finally was able to drill out the rivits in the drop down access door for the hoses and reach up to unlock.

So, have been searching for replacement handles, OR as Peter stated, just replace the spring? Is the spring something common that can be found in a hardware store? I'd ike to restore the locking function.

Yes Jeff the spring is common.  The hardest part is getting the right size bushings to go over the bolts and grinding them off to be the needed length.  McMaster Carr had the bushings.

Re-reading your post..........are you referring to the latch assembly as pictured above, or the locking latch that is on the outside of the door that is used to open the door?

About 10 years ago, customer service worked with me by identifying a photo I sent them. I did not find their online parts very comprehensive and remember they have more products than on line.

My records show we purchased bay door handle & door grab handle, but no latches.

One of doors that has two latches like pictured above has one latch completely gone.

Yes Peter,  the latch is different upon looking at the OP write up, sorry for the error. It's the one with the outside handle for the wet bay door. As the photo shows I've got the little "dog" assembly taped off so it doesn't slip down and lock on me. It had a small spring that broke, so that the "dog" kept the handle in the locked position, what a pain! Just pulled into the CG and can't open the door with all the hookups!

Barry's pointer to the Trimark site is real good, as almost all of my exterior handles are bent up and deformed. I'll see if I can identify which handle assembly we have and price them out. It's a project for this winter when we get to Florida. I may try the process that several have identified where they straighten and reinforce the black handle part on the exterior.

Thanks for the tips, sorry to get off topic a bit. Always learning from the posts and the veterans!
