Noise during trans operation

My 4060R has a "squeaking" noise during its up shift from 3-4.

Allison service writer said she had heard of such a thing.

Anyone here have any info?

Bob,

Had my 4060R rebuilt 6 years ago due to a failed P3.  It had the squeak from 3 to 4 for a long time.  My Allison shop listened to and did not have a fix except to say "If it broke, they would fix it".  The squeak has gone away and tranny works fine.

Hope this helps.

Bob,

The rebuild included Allison synthetic oil.
