Stop at Foretravel?

We are finally going to pick up our 2004 U320 in Kentucky next week and bring it home to California!
Since we will going through Texas on our way home, I was considering stopping at the factory.  There were a few items that needed repaired or serviced that we found on our inspection that the selling dealer is taking care of.  We will probably not get back around Nacogdoches in the near future after this trip, so is there anything that would be wise to have Foretravel check or service on the coach?  We know of nothing wrong at the moment, but that could change as we start our trip.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Congrats on the up-grade (Tiffin to U320)  :))  Trip from Kentucky to Cali sounds like a great "get-acquainted" opportunity.  You WILL have some questions, and the Forum is here to answer them.  By the time you get to TX, you might have a few little things needing a tweak, and a stop in NAC would be the perfect time to get it done.  They have every RV service you could imagine, all available in that one small town!

If you haven't already, sign up with the Motorcade Club.  Can do that by phone, email or when at the factory.  As a Foretravel owner, you get to stay 2 "free" days in Camp Foretravel (the factory parking lot) anytime you pass through the area.  They have 50 amp, water, a dump station, laundry room, etc.  I say "free", because we never get out of there without spending money on something, no matter how hard we try!  While staying in NAC, check out FOT, MOT, Xtreme, Infinity, Bernd, and the other Foretravel specialists.  Never know...you might want to do business with them down the road.  Besides, it's a great little town to visit, even without the Foretravel connection...except this weekend...kinda rainy.

Welcome and congratulations!

We got our coach at MOT in June. I'm certainly no expert but I'd suggest that you make an appointment at MOT/FOT to have all fluids, and filters changed (generator as well ) so you have a good starting point.

Safe travels!

You didn't say whether you got complete mainenance records if the PO.  I did when I bought my coach in Georgia, so it didn't need filters and fluids, but by the time I got to FT I had a 30 item list of things I wanted corrected.  If you join the club, you not only get the discount but they'll apply your numbers and club decal for free.  Call tomorrow for an appointment.  If you tell them your situation they should make room for you.

I can second what Chuck,Jeff and Brett have suggested. Going that way, stop in Nacogdoches, visit FOT and MOT and Stallings place at Xtreme, sign up for Motorcader and get the "Plus" package. I just recently needed a bit of technical assistance out on the road and as always James Triana was there with the solution. It is certainly worth the extra $25. Spend a couple nights at Camp Foretravel and explore the town.

If not, MOT may have room and they also honor the Motorcade discount - Miz Dani recently took her coach and a long list there. No bad choices in NAC. FT nirvana.

...yeh and I totally "spaced" getting the discount......it was past quitting time Friday and all I could think of was getting those guys out of there...there were 5 guys (+ Eric the service manager) all over my coach for 3 days straight, what an amazing bunch...best service ever....spent a little more than 8 coach bucks but got myself a new coach.... ^.^d  Now she's at FOT waiting for new headlights & tail lights....but I'm not there, otherwise I'd say come by & say hi!

Dani,

Give MOT a call, or email them. I am sure they will still honor the discount.

Thank you all for the suggestions and tips!
We will stop at Foretravel, at least to give a quick check and anything else we may find on the trip from Kentucky.  Have already joined Motorcade Plus and have gotten our number (17589).  It will be worth stopping just to have the decal put on correctly!  I have spoken with James Traina and he was able to send me the build sheet for our coach, which was very interesting and helped answer some questions on how the coach is equipped.  All of the non-standard items on our coach were done when it was built.
We are looking forward to our trip but are nervous at the same time!

Did you actually speak to Beverly?  I can understand if she's a little backed up after the GV but she is always very responsive.  Keep trying.  I've always called.

Hi, Brett,

Yes, I did talk to Beverly and she took care of everything over the phone.  It took a couple of weeks to get our decals, nametags and other club information.
