Gerry,

The DDL ( Detroit Data Link ) is located under the dash on the drivers side for plugging a diagnostic reader into with the proper interface and cable.  The DDEC ( Detroit Diesel Electronic control ) module or brain is located on the engine.

Gerry, mine is a grey rectangular plug near my left knee. Finding it the first time took some grunting since I don't bend as easily as I did in 1993. Now that I have it out it constantly reminds me that I need to get a Silverleaf to plug into it.

Just a note, Silverleaf does not have a Detroit 6V92, 350 Hp foundation, only a 335 hp. Silverleaf does not display good odometer numbers or a trip meter. Bill Chapman's does but he had his DDEC II updated. Also most of the info is extrapolation rather than real numbers but I still use it all of the time when driving the coach. The engine heat is a real number and it comes up on the Silverleaf much faster than the dash heat gauge. I also use the Turbo boost numbers a good way to judge whether the engine is running right.

Below is an image of the 12 pin DDEC II data port connector. It has six on the bottom and six just above but only 5 are used plus a hot 12V and a ground terminal. Get down on the floor and follow under the dash until it meets the driver's side wall. It will be back several inches. It may have a cover that will need to be removed before plugging in a diagnostic tester.

Gerry,

Here's some pics to show what the plug looks like.  As you can see it's well hidden under the dash.
