Windshield Replacement

Having both windshields replaced + rubber gasket. Just wondering about the urethane/adhesive placement? For sure adhesive gasket to fiberglass but not too sure about a fine line in channel glass to rubber? Would make for a nice watertight seal but would it make it too rigid or does the rubber gasket alone have enough shock/stress absorbing abilities?
I have got varying comments from glass installers...Reason for concern. I'm inclined to go along with the fine bead glass to rubber.

Call either MOT or FOT before you do anything. The windshields in coaches are not the same as cars.  When mine were replaced at MOT it had to sit for a day before being moved.

This is VERY good advice. Foretravel windshields are NOT replaceable by just anyone or with off-someone's-shelf glass.

Keystone in Pa, replaced  both sides each at different times, cost $1,025 each time.  They had an outside glass shop and they know their business, not any issues ever, no creeping, leaking of falling out.

We purchased our coach with a fairly good crack after some negotiating with the sales price. I took my savings (and the cracked windshield) to MOT. They had the best answers to your kinds of questions. When the replacement was performed, I learned this is a big job, not suitable for every glass shop.

They stocked mine, in grey. Perfect fit. Factory materials. Good deal.

Good luck. Paul
