Bedroon slide

Bought a 2007 336 Nimbus Foretravel October 19th. The bedroom slide was not operating as it should when purchased and was told the dealership would repair it. First it was a relay. Then it was a hose that burst and now I find hydraulic fluid in the bedroom carpet again. It is 277 miles back to the dealership where I bought the unit and now we  are having to make a detour in our travel plans to go back to Knoxville before heading South to Hilton Head.

Has anyone had this kind of problem with their slide mechanism or am I just having a streak of bad luck?

Hi,

I bought our 2007 Nimbus back in May of last year and have had to have the bladder replaced on the bedroom slide. It apparently got pinched during operation. This was all covered under the extended warranty.

I have not, however, had any issues with hydraulic or any other fluid leaking from the bladder system. I know there is another member on the forum with a 2007 Nimbus that had some slide issues. Maybe they can comment.

Sorry I couldn't offer anything more definitive. However, you have come to the right place for information on the Foretravel systems. Lots of very knowledgeable owners here. I expect you'll get a lot more beneficial input than mine.

Best of luck,

Don

Not sure this will help but I recently had a leaking hydraulic slide hose fitting replaced in Spartanburg, SC on my 2012 Nimbus. K&T Brake and Spring did the work. They were not able to fish the new hose assembly I got from HWH over the fuel tank so they disassembled their crimping machine, moved it beside the coach and crimped on a new fitting. So far so good.
Second time I've used them. However, mine was the first motorhome they'd worked on. Great people willing to tackle any job except engines. (864) 486-1150 ask for Karen.
Good luck.

There was an HWH defect in the early 2000s some time on the hoses as they put in undersized ones but that is the only thing I remember happening.  07 was before the downturn and HWH was at full strength then too.  You might call hWH and FT and see if they know anything.

Maybe it's a loose fitting where they replaced the burst hose.  Wouldn't that be nice?

Can you remove any trim or use a mirror and light to see where it's leaking?
