Aquahot bay thermostat replacement or ?

We have temperature sensors in the wet bay, manifold bay, outside and inside.

I noticed yesterday that the manifold bay was hot - 85 Deg. F.  The wet bay was 50F.  Outside temp was 38F.  I promptly went to the thermostat - rotating dial and turned it down from 50 deg to 40.  Now the manifold bay reads 59 deg and the wet bay reads 50 deg.  Outside temp is 48F.

Thoughts?

Hot water running through the manifold in the manifold bay might influence the temp sensor.  The AH temp adjustment is maybe not real accurate.  I adjusted mine till it was an OK temp, about 40-45° or it is off.

Good thoughts Roger, however, I noticed this situation yesterday AM while no hot water was flowing through the manifold.  I placed my hand under the vent cover blowing into the water pump area and it was HOT.  Turned the thermostat counter clockwise to get a lower temp and heard the fan stop.

I have had the temp. between 40 and 50 deg F until yesterday.
