The air gauges are still showing 65 pounds. Shouldn't they be closer to 0 by now? The engine was shut down a little after 4:00 Monday afternoon and it is now almost 8:00 Wednesday morning.

This would indicate that your Protection Valve has closed and the air system before this point is holding air as it should. If you are not aware this is a safety feature. Look on your air schematic and find your protection valve. If you have massive air problems beyond this valve it closes when the pressure gets to a set point (yours must be around 65#) so you will have some pressure to your brake side allowing you to get off the road in a safe manner.
With your air system holding like it is you now can start searching beyond your protection valve for air leaks.
