97 270 Redux phase 3

This post is intended for newcomers, like us, researching Foretravel.  This is our third phase and focused on the exterior. The work on this phase was done in Phoenix and Apache Junction.  We used Steve at RV Stripes and Graphics to remove our decals and to manufacture the replacements.  We wanted to be as close to the original as suited us and used the same graphics found on the original 97 with the exception of the Honu on the back and door.  It has a lot of symbolism for our family.

For the rejuvenation of the gel coat, I used Perry at European Detail.  Perry is the sole detail source for the Barret Jackson auction.  He used a four part process to bring back an almost original luster to the coach and brought back the rims as well.  Note the shop reflection in the gelcoat inside of RVSG.

Both of these company's went out of their way to make our experience a positive one.  We were able to spend each night during the process in the coach.  Steve was a priceless resource for the area.  Tried to post a before and after but you can't see the peeling of the original decals.
