Bose CS6 surround sound system--No sound

Was driving with the dash radio playing through the Bose system, Stopped for lunch, Now the Bose system has no sound for the dash radio or the TV. The light on the remote sensor comes on when I press the power button on the remote. I have tried unplugging the Bose system from power to reset it but still no sound. Is the system dead or is there a fuse somewhere. The coach is a 1998 U295. Thanks for any help.

Mine goes crazy some times when power goes off while the system is on. Sometimes I think this system has grimlins in it.  If you have the Bose remote try pushing the Bose button on the top then 2 for tv or 5 for the radio.

Been awhile but as I recall, there is also a way to reset the Bose by manipulating controls on the base unit. I forget just how and I do not have access to unit or instructions.
Surely someone here can help, more.

Horace,

Just a few thoughts:  Have you lost 120 volts to the Bose base unit, circuit breaker for Bose is off, base unit is the plugged it into the instant hot outlet instead (turn of instant hot switch at the sink panel), plugs into the base unit fell out, batteries for the remote are dead/corroded, remote fails to communicate or even come on (repairable - Google the Bose Doctor...~$100), had the plugs fall out of the back side of the CD player or audio selected on remote not set to a active source, speakers (A or B) are shut off on the remote?

I'm sure there are more possible causes for a dead Bose.

Thanks for the tips. I do have power at the Control unit and the Base unit. The red light in the remote sensor comes on when the power button on the remote is pressed and goes off when the remote power button is pressed again so I believe the remote is functioning. I have also tried the selection button on the back of the control unit and the system powers on and off through that switch.
I have no sound from the Bose system at all, not for the dash radio or the TV. Since it failed after I shut off the Coach with the system on I think I may have blown a fuse or activated some type of protection shut down and need to replace the fuse or reset the system somehow. The Bose manual and website were of little help. I was hoping someone on the Forum may have had a similar problem and could enlighten me on a fix.

Are you selecting a CD...is the CD magazine empty? Do you hear the CD changer making clicking noises as it changes CDs?

My system does not have the CD feature. It is the Bose Companion CS-6 system with the control unit for cable connections and the base unit that has the amp and speaker connections. I believe it was only used from 1995 to 1999 in the U270 and U295 Coaches. The U320 of that era had a different Bose system with more features and the CD.  I hope this helps. Thanks again for the replies I appreciate your efforts to help.

It turned out the amp in the Bass unit failed. I bought a replacement bass unit and all is well with the Bose sound system.
