Pantograph windshield wiper systems

Have any of you ever seen a pantograph system on a Grand Villa?
Have any of you Grand Villa owners ever thought a pantograph wiper system would work  better than the original?
I was looking at amequipment.com at their systems and I bet their pantograph system or maybe even their pantograph adaptors might help make a better wiper system.

Stump,

It's needed for sure.  This is what I have.. it pivots at the arm end

Thats what I have also. I bet a pantograph setup that parked along the center strip could be built pretty easy. It sure would give a nice wide sweep over the glass. Curious about the cost. I might contact amequip and ask if it's feasable.

@John,

There is a nut under the plastic cap on the wiper arm that can be loosened and the wiper rotated so that it's parallel to the ground. Gives a much better sweep pattern.

I just recently replaced my wiper arms with arms that have a J-hook on the end. Much easier to find blades and much easier to replace them. Can't find the receipt. :( About $50 apiece...

The wipers on our '89 do a strange dance. Separate motors, so they quite rapidly get out of sync. It sure looks weird, after all these years with the blades actuated by one motor on all our other vehicles. One blade is coming down while the other blade is going up.

The beamalarm site says that ours comes with synchronized windshield wipers, but not so much. I suspect it's because one motor has been replaced. Like nite Hawks they quickly get out of sync. And the new drivers blade chatters like crazy.

Kenhat. Any chance you can pass on the info for your new wiper arms.

@stump,

Thanks for finding that post. I did a search but the magic words "wiper arms" didn't turn up anything for me. Oh and thanks for doing the original post!

Stump. Thanks much for the info.  I love that those w arms open up the variety of blades that we can use.

 On some things it's sooo had for me to think outside the box. This time it was windshield wipers. Their so important, especially in  Oregon.  But, I LOVE this forum because someone else is always doing just that.

 Also, it looks like you have alternate washers on your w arms. Where did you find them. As far as I'm concerned , you can't get enough soap on the window. And how were you able to run the hose. I don't see it in your pic ?
