Hours meter

How difficult to replace  powertech hours meter? and which style should I use? It seems to be operating intermittently

I just bought one off eBay for $9.98 shipped. Fits in that hole. Two wires. It was for my tractor, but I didn't even open the back of the panel, I pried the old one out, hooked up the wires, and was able to get in there and slide the clamp on the back to hold it in place.
