Inverter

Would my 1992 ORED ever have had one from factory? I see no evidence of one now altho It does have two AC outlets under the refer vented outside cover....one white, one black.

Going by that alone, I would say you have one. Or should have unless the PO removed it.

They may have used the same wiring harness, with or without a inverter installed.  The ORED spec sheet does not list a inverter:

1992 Foretravel Ored Specifications

However, the '92 U300 spec sheet does list a 1500 watt inverter as standard.

Other clues:

If your coach ever had a inverter, there would have been a control panel mounted somewhere inside the coach (see photo).

Also, there would have been two transfer switch boxes mounted somewhere (under the bed?).  One switched automatically between shore and generator power (ATS).  The other was switched manually from the inverter control panel.  (see photos)
