Retard activation causes electric lock switch to light up.

any actuation of the retarder causes the electric lock rocker switch to light up bur retard works as it should. Any ideas? The retard rocker does not light up though it has in the past

Bob, are you saying that the DOOR lock lights up or the Retard rocker switch does (as it should)

Retard switch on and with brake actuation the electric door lock lights instead of the retard switch. If the retard lever is set at any position to actuate retard with throttle reduction and the electric door switch lights up. The retard operation is normal but the wrong switch lights up when retard is functioning. I can't believe this is the only coach that has experienced this phemenom.

No recent work. I suspect a weak ground but I was hoping this was something seen by another owner

Yes, my next suggestion would be a loose ground, this will make all kinds of weird things happen.
