Generator Coolant Hose

My generator has a small, probably ~ 5/8", hose going from the tank above the radiator, down to the radiator that is leaking. How do I change tat hose, and with what ?

Here's what I'm thinking.
Use heater hose.
Clamp the old hose using vise grips and remove it at lower end from the radiator (cut it below the clamp).
Drain the coolant into a container for re-use.
Remove the old hose and replace with new.
Reuse the old coolant (?)
Top up with new coolant - what kind (?)
Does the system need bleeding? How ?

Found that the wife is gonna be in the hospital next month, so I'll be in the parking lot for 3-4 days needing the generator for AC.

Heater hose is OK.  Cut old hose carefully at clamping areas and peel away.  Don't risk breaking nipples at tank or radiator.  Don't you know type of coolant?  It should be same as engine.  Your coach is 13 years old, so if in doubt, change the coolant to proper extended life diesel coolant.

Thanks for the tip on splitting the hoses, don't need another project! I'll be getting the generator coolant flushed at the annual service.
