Tell the shop that is doing the work,to clean the thick edge of the rotor and they should see the part number.

Would think the rotors are a Meritor part.  Did a forum search for rotor part number

Front are likely 3218-Y-1065 (Dick S who posted in the first topic linked below also has a 2003 so that should be the same for your coach, GV should have the same front axle assembly)

Thanks for all the help,Thanks Michelle for the p/n info.About three weeks ago I was coming back from a trip (actually the convention)
and I was running down I95, when we started to get a brake burning smell from the dash a/c vents.I got off the highway quickly and by that time we had smoke in the cab.For some reason the front pad or pads did not release from the rotor(on the passengers side). I let the brakes cool(Brenda drove the toad home) and then I finished the 1 hr trip home with no futher problems. To the best of my knowledge the front pads could have been the original ones.It is hard to get history on this coach, even though it is in excellent shape. So the right front rotor and pads on both sides are going to be changed. I have to change the rotor because she got to hot.The coach has 116k on her , has anyone experienced this problem?? like humpty dumpty she will be all put back together(hopefully ) by this time next week, and we can enjoy a few more trips before need I say the cold or snow word.. As always thanks to all the nice people for all your help, this is truly a great forum!!! thanks Bob@ Brenda

Sounds like the slide pins are binding. Not an uncommon problem, and many have installed the helper spring kits to try an prevent that from happening.

Did you grease the unit just before you left? Incorrect greasing of the caliper causes dragging as well

Temp fix/help is to apply the brakes very hard then release them a few times.  Resets the slack adjuster I think and can help

Got ours from FindItParts.com KIT15018 by MERITOR - KIT

It would be a good idea to do a forum search for Meritor helper springs.  That will bring up lots of previous discussion, instructions for proper installation, and part numbers.  KIT15018.  Double check if one kit (of 2 springs) is for both axle ends or just one (it's been a few years for us).  I think it's just one so you'd need 4 sets for a 2-axle coach, 6 for a tag.

Note there has been some major confusion at FOT about these helper springs - for quite some time they thought folks were referring to an anti-rattle spring and were not recommending installation.  That's not what these springs are.  This is a recommendation from Meritor for the slide pins.

Sounds like the slide pins are binding. Not an uncommon problem, and many have installed the helper spring kits to try an prevent that from happening.

Agree with Don.  Pulling, inspecting, and cleaning/replacing slide pins is a good routine maintenance practice.  If the chrome plating on them is pitted they should be replaced with new (they aren't terribly expensive).  Good time to install the helper springs when those slide pins are out  ;)

John the springs were $16 a set and you will need four sets of the part number.  We put them on in June when we put new seals on the front wheels.  There was some confusion with the folks we went with and you may want to discuss that it is a "soft recall" and from what I understand is a recommendation from Meritor.  Regards to Carmen.
