Sat /OTA wiring..yup camping world got to me

What is the wiring sequence from the satellite to wally receiver to ota booster to sat/antenna/cable/ push button box to tv?
After CW installed the ota and dish satelite. They supposedly wired everything to work....WRONG!
now I have dish on the rear tv(but no ota) but only ota (over the air) on the front tv (but no Dish)
I just (for now) need to know what route the cables should run from one component to the next..

And after how these Einstein's installed the coax's, I am beyond the point of genteel anger management.... Our pristine fiberglas roof has been violated beyond FUBAR!

I'm sorry to hear that camping world did what most people would expect camping world to do and blast a bunch of holes in your roof.

My only experience with letting CW do work on my coach was right after we bought it. We drove from Illinois to Texas and were at about 7000 on the oil change. Took it to CW in I think Brownsville for oil and filters. Wouldn't let me watch and even closed the garage door on me. Should have been my first clue. I had asked for a sample of what they drained out but they forgot. I watched through the window as the "tech" took an old oil bottle out of the garbage and poured some oil out of the oil stand that had who know what in it and then presented it to me. LIVID!!! Not near strong enough to describe my explosion. They couldn't see what was wrong. Notice the quotes around "tech"!

Sorry for your troubles. My only experience with CW was a recent mandatory NC safety inspection. We ended up there but that is a long story.

Even for an inspection they forbid me to watch or stay with the coach. I will avoid them other than the occasional sale price on gear or supplies.

Start with the cable/coax bringing the signal in and route it to where you want it to go.I had to take all my coax loose and start from
scratch.Mine were labeled from Foretravel,the switching devices are labeled in and out.
Are there any car audio shops in your area,they would probably do a better job.

Typed this 3 times and messed up the post lol

Went to CW to have repairs done that another rv place had completed.. explained what I wanted and this was the fix from them.... $268.61 Wow is all I could say

The Shop tech (term used loosely) argued with me on what was written on the order and what was not.. I didnt write the order the service guy did. They left the exposed wires that the previous shop had left and when I got home and climbed under to see what they did.. I was more than upset!

They refunded the charges and I fixed it myself!!

DO not EVER EVER EVER EVER let them work on your coach!!! purchases accessories is no problem but DO NOT LET THEM WORK ON IT!!

If you need to identify which coax is connected to either end of your equipment, Home Depot has a few types of coax cable tracer units for around $40, you will also need a pkt of coax couplers, very simple to check the coax run if there are no labels on each end of the coax.

The cable routings will depend on whether your TV's are newer Led flat screens are the original CRT TV's. If newer TV's, the satellite coax will go to the satellite receiver, then there will most likely be an HDMI cable going straight to the front TV and bypassing the switching box. The dish is then selected by the input on the TV being set to one of the HDMI settings. Most of the switching boxes do not have HDMI input, only composite/component inputs. Therefore, the need to go directly to the TV.

The OTA antenna coax cable will most likely go the switching box or to an amplifier box depending on the OTA antenna installed.
In either case the switch box will send the signal to the front or back TV. Once the front TV is selected on the switch box, the input on the TV Will need to be selected for TV antenna.

The front TV will have a coax cable from the switch box and a HDMI cable from the satellite receiver.

Yours may not be setup this way, of course, but I believe it this is the most likely way.

I am replacing the rear tv as well. this sat supports multi tv's, there is a 2nd receiver in the bedroom, does it also need to have a hdmi cable connection , in addition to the ota cable?
IE: ota cable hooked to the tv and a hdmi cable from the 2nd receiver to the tv as well?

HDMI cable to bedroom TV depends on a lot of things you are not telling us.

Does the bedroom satellite receiver have HDMI output? Does it have component/composite outputs? Does it have a coax output?

Is there a HDMI cable already at the bedroom TV?

It is always better to use HDMI than coax. But, coax will carry satellite of course, because that is how it is getting from the satellite antenna to the receiver to start with. If your TV is not close to the satellite receiver or there is not a HDMI cable already in place to the TV, you can just use the existing coax cable. To do that, (if the receiver does not have a coax out) you need a RF modulator to convert the Component/composite outputs to coax.

Then you will need a a/b switch to switch the coax going to the TV. The satellite coax to a, the OTA cable to b, and the output connected to the TV.

If you are replacing the bedroom tv it will have hdmi inputs. Connect from the bedroom receiver. If you want ota connect the coax from the ota. to the tv also. Your tv will have a source button on the tv to switch between them.

If you are a Direct TV customer and are willing to upgrade to the Genie you won't need internal wiring. These receivers are wireless.

Nope, it's Dish..... They are the only one that carries Pac-12 network

Yup, that is what I'm gonna try..
They are "Wally" receivers using a winguard multi receivers dish and flat screen tv's. (a 32" up front and a 19" in bedroom.)

Now trying to find a base that will fit on the little ledge that the old 15" 12v was mounted to.( 2001 Panasonic)

If you are using dish, then the dish VIP 211 k receiver has coax output that will connect coax cable to your TV. The dish receiver and the ota coax could input to a distribution box, then output with one coax cable to the TV.

The reason you will need HDMI from the reciever to the tv is for high definition (HD) channels, or component cables would work just about as good. But component cables are " color coded" and you may not want that.

I would think that your vintage of coach already has a built in type of " AB " switch which will take from ota to satilite.
