Water Leak

We were traveling through Oklahoma yesterday in a pretty intense storm.  Water came in the rear of our 1996 U295 and was dripping down onto the head of the bed from under the cabinet area.  The overhead cabinets were completely dry, even on the bottom side.  The water was dripping heavily from a wood section that's below the cabinetry and runs the length of the headboard area.  We've never had any leak back there before.  Could the water have entered through the rear camera area or possibly the running lights?  It was quite a bit of water on the pillows, etc.  Puzzling how it was not in the cabinets or on the ceiling.  The rain was intense and was definitely blowing from all directions.  Anyone have this happen to them?

what year is your coach. If it is a U model in the late 90s or early 2000 you could have a leak up top in the end cap seam or even where the camera is.  It is right by the end of the bed too behind a small wooden panel.

I would check the end cap seam first.

I would check out the clearance lights, around the camera and water coming in thru the intake vents for air cleaner (the piping may have a hole/crack in it) To see that take off the panel in over bed cabinets and look inside the end cap.

Hey John,  Thanks for the tip!  I took off the panel inside the back overhead cabinet to get inside the end cap.  I noticed that the plastic piece that covers the area where the camera is mounted was definitely loose and the top two screws holding it on were missing.  I could easily pull the top of it away from the end cap so, there was an excellent way for water to come in.  I'm going to reseal the cover and replace the screws.  I think that will probably take care of it.  I also plan on resealing all of my clearance lights in that area.  Thanks again for the replies!

Glad you found the problem. We had the exact same problem a couple of years ago. Turned out to be the clearance light. I went ahead and replaced them all as they were starting to fade anyhow.
