HWH Six Pack Solenoids & Repair Facility

I'm starting another thread for sourcing on this issue.

SOLENOIDS: As I mentioned earlier, to place an order with HWH you have to wait four days for a parts person to call you back. Anyone have another source for our solenoids. I need two for my Series 600 system.

FACILITY: I'm almost out of time before I really have to travel to Oregon. If I can drive the rig as is and stop on the way, maybe I could get this fixed. We plan(ned) on traveling from Tucson to Salem via Arizona-Nevada-California-Oregon. Just looking for a service recommendation.

I may just have to leave it here and travel to Oregon via other means.

While more expensive (because they get them from HWH and have to add something to the cost), both MOT and FOT parts departments should have those solenoids in stock.

[ETA - if you think it's just the solenoid and not the valve attached to it, somewhere on the forum someone identified the solenoid part itself.  I'll do some searching and post if I find it.]

Complete valve assembly (solenoid + valve + 2 O-rings) is part number RAP1940

Solenoid coil by itself is part number RAP90568

thanks Chuck - I thought someone had posted the OEM info on the solenoid coil (which is made by someone else).  Haven't found it yet.

I live in Vancouver WA I have a U280 1993 I just took my coach to Ultimate truck service in Vancouver for the exact problem leaking air. If they have a quick fix I will let you know, I dropped it off today and asked to have it done by Friday.
It also needed my generator worked on so I gave them a day or two extra.
If you are coming by this area let em know

Take it. If travel light stays on you will be fine MOT and Foretrsvel don't have the part? Bernd?

THREAD CLOSE OUT

I ended up buying some parts from Foretravel and carrying them with us to Oregon. Drove about 1,800 miles with the number ten fuse removed with the coach close to proper ride height. Got someone here in Oregon to troubleshoot the system and he came up with the same solution as I - needed a left travel solenoid. Good to go now.

This confirms that we can drive these rigs without the active ride height valves handling the air bags. I really could not tell any difference in the ride.

Here's a photo of the solenoid. I plan to emulate Chuck  & Jeannie and rebuild both six packs.

Only if you don't have any leaks in the airbag system!

Yea, the bags on this rig stay aired up without that fuse in the HWH control box. The air system, however, leaks down at about 5.5 psi per hour. That's on my project list.
