AquaHot removal

Getting serious about removing the AquaHot. So, fuel tank goes all the way accross the coach right behind the front wheels. After that on the driver's side are house batteries and HWH control. On passenger's side are the two 30 # LPG bottles and piping. In between those two is the AquaHot. Is the easiest way to remove the LPG stuff and drag the thing out through there then reinstall the LPG?

Larry,

I have removed centrally mounted AH heaters by pulling them aft into the adjoining basement compartment and then out the side.  The adjoining compartment is where I access the burner for Annual Maintenance Service.  I have not seen a 1996 install to remember how it looks in there.  But I have not removed any thing other than a cargo slide in the adjoining compartment to remove a heater.

There are six big screws holding the heater to the floor that you can see.  Plus six more on the back opposite the ones you can see.  A two foot extension, ratchet wrench and a mirror are needed to loosen those six screws.

Larry,

I'm not questioning your (possible) decision, or your judgement - what you do to your coach is your business.  I'm just curious...

1.  Why?

2.  Replace it with what?  You will need (I assume) to come up with alternative method of space heating and water heating.
