What is this switch?

Anyone know what this switch might be? It's located on the driver's side bus style door. Only one I can find. It is not a light switch, I found a few of those.

It looks like an owner ad.  More reliable control of the bay light?

If actuated by the door itself it can be either controlling the bay light or sending a signal somewhere that the bay door is either open--or--closed.

If the furnace is above the switch  will shut it off so as not to burn door when door is open.

Ding ding ding ding. I think we may have a winner here. Just looked at door and furnace is directly above the door.

It's cold enough here in Georgia to test out that theory. I'll test it and get back.

Turned on the furnace, waited a few minutes. Opened the bay door and bingo the furnace shut off. The fan continued to run, I assume it shut off after a few minutes just like it is designed to do. Thanks Roadtrip.

If I hadn't asked the question eight months ago I might still be scratching my head.

Last night (Nov 10th) temps were expected to be low 40's. I went to the thermostat to turn on both furnaces and nothing from the front furnace. Played with thermostat for a while, checked breakers, was going to search forum for possible answer.
DW said bedroom furnace was working why not wait till the morning. 16,000 btu rear furnace did a good job of keeping entire coach comfortable while we watched TV. Fell asleep in recliner woke up around 1am to head to bed and it was like a light bulb went off. Got my flashlight, walked outside to the driver's side bay door, pushed the top left corner of the door until I heard it click and seconds later the front furnace fires up.

To prevent fiberglass damage to the outside of an "open" bay door from the very hot furnace burner exhaust air, Foretravel cleverly put a switch behind bay door to disable that furnace.  Switch is only closed to allow furnace to run when the closed bay door pushes on the switch's plunger.
