Good 2003 U295 36?

Hi all,
After getting turned off by the lack of quality in new(er) DPs in our price range, my wife and I are seriously considering an older Foretravel.  This forum is impressive and we like the idea of the friendly and helpful community here.  Has anyone seen, or does anyone know anything about, this 2003 U295 36 at MOT?  It looks good in the pictures (although they aren't high res, so I know there may be issues I can't see in them) but the mileage seems on the high side.  Any insights would be appreciated.

Also, I know MOT is highly trusted here, but am I correct in assuming it would still be a good idea to get an independent PDI?  Any recommendations on who could do that for us?  We're in Seattle, so we wouldn't want to travel to MOT unless we knew the coach met most of our requirements.

Dave

yes I think I do know something about it and am very sure it is the one that I was working with some new members a few weeks ago on it. I noticed in pics that there was what looked like some de-lamination on one of the sides of slide and salesman did not know about it. James Stalling looked at it and said bad delam and some front too. The roof turned out to be bad and owners were going to have it redone at FT but would not cover cost of side. So maybe the roof is ok now but be very cautious on the other issues and check with MOT if things have been done or not. I believe Brett was going to do a PDI etc on it but buyer was not interested with coach because of body problems. I helped them buy another ( I think today is inspection and if all ok actually buying it) fingers crossed for some very good people on both sides of deal)

Thanks, John, I appreciate your very helpful feedback.  We'll just keep looking for a better unit.  That particular model and length looks like a good fit for us, so we'll keep our eyes open for another one.

you should at least call MOT to double check but I am positive it is same one. It would also be nice to find out what was fixed.
There is another one that Old Tyme Motorcoach in NAC has and it belongs to Forum members. It is listed in classifieds but now consigned with them. I think price is around 109k, but check. Have a look at that one for sure online.

John, yes, I'll call MOT on Monday and will report back here what I find out.  Thanks for the tip on the other coach, they've done some nice upgrades.  We'd really prefer a 36 footer, though.
