fresh water accumulator tank
My accumulator tank has bitten the dust. After finally getting the pump/accumulator assembly free, I started looking for a replacement. The original flojet model 20799-000 was mounted horizontally next to the flojet model 4406-143 pump. I found a replacement tank, but the cost is a bit much. In looking through the archives I have seen where others have used hot water tank accumulators, but these seem to just be air tank "surge buffers" that do not have a diaphram to separate the air pressure from the the water.
I am considering getting two of the Sureflow accumulators and hooking them up in line. The Sureflows are considerably less volume than the stock flojet, so my thinking was that two would make up for the difference. Because the housing on the Shureflo is plastic, I would not have to worry about the tank rusting out.
I would greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Len
