No truer words words are spoken: I'm a experienced driver,  but one time we got into black ice on I-5 from Eugene, Oregon to Portland. , but that damn black ice had my foot shaking. I knew if I lost it, I lost it. She'd start to slide underneath me a lot, but kept her composure. Whew!  b^.^d

Black ice (And "Gray Ice which does not produce a "shine") is nothing to be fooling with, This year has been a bad one both I-5 and I-84 has had a lot of ice, and to the point of either requiring chains or they just close the road.
With these coaches having outboard air bags, if you break a cross chain you will wipe out the air bags, so it's a no go.
The only way you could safely use chains is if you installed the air actuated "Spinner chains".
