Mirror Door Latch Repair
The push-push latch on one of my mirror doors broke off. It is mounted on a block of hardwood that is glued to the back of the mirror door; some king of plasticy surface (think outer layer of corplast). I epoxied it on with a cheap two-part epoxy from Harbor Freight. That broke off and I used more of the same epoxy. It also separated.
I thought I might try JB Weld epoxy and try again. When it separated the first time, it took a thin layer of the plasticy surface with it. When it separated after both of my epoxy attempts, it was as if it had not gripped that surface at all.
My question now is: would y'all try the JB Weld, or something like this GE Iron Grip, or something else entirely?
Thanks,
Trent
