Battery charge rate test

We have had several discussions about battery charge rates.  In one of those discussions, it was stated that recharging in an hour was impossible.  Since I can now track that rate, I thought I would post an actual rather than a theoretical point of reference.  Wyatt please note the charge rate validating my earlier post.

The first two pictures are of the CCGX.  One at the time I turned the gen set on at 7am and a second at 8am.  The graph attached shows a mean point dot but look at the blue shaded area that shows and confirms the CCGX reading.  Just added the second graph after data was received by and graphed into system.  Note the charge curve.

This was done with one 200ah at 55F. 

There is some great technology being developed that Ken posted.  I can only imagine the possibilities of 3x the density of current lithium.  600Ah in 90 pounds is breathtaking breakthrough.  Add to that not relying on expensive lithium the future is very bright indeed.

Yes I read about the battery breakthrough.

Imagine a solar recharged electrically driven 45' coach.

Locomotives are electrically driven.  Motor generates electricity.

Roof airs on batteries. 

I wonder when  Tesla will adopt/license the tech and build 20k powerwalls.  Bet they are meeting about it now

37 years later the li-ion inventor does even better.  Non flammable. Silicone not li. Triple capacity. Charges faster. Cheaper.

Electric cars will take over now. Faster anyway

Will disrupt the oil industry and gas stations and car builders.

One of the company's I consulted with, Liebher, uses electric drives in their earth moving trucks.

They already built huge Powerwalls but I'm pretty sure they won't fit in your FT........and I'm certain I can't afford one.

Pretty fascinating that they are replacing the peaker plants with utility scale battery storage.  Even with the current battery technology, we are seeing massive changes to the way things used to be done.
