fuse access fuel access

I am still learning so many different things about our Foretravel. I learned that you don't purge the water separator while the engine is idling . That was an exciting experience. Learned how to prime the engine and remote start it. While cleaning the engine area, I came across the two fuse boxes at the foot of the bed. My question is....how do you open these doors!!?? It would seem to be an easy task, but I can't seem to move the " latch " and feel as if I will break the plastic if I apply any force to it. It's always the simple things.
ALSO....I am having trouble finding truck stops in the San Diego area for fuel. What apps, or other methods do you folks use to find fuel when there aren't signs posted along the highway??  Thanks for any help with these questions.

Glenn,

The latches for the 12V breaker boxes in our FT are identical to the ones that hold the refrigerator vent on the outside sidewall of the coach.
Insert a dime into the slot and twist 90 degrees to release.
Yours may be different.

Glenn, I use the My Pilot app for finding pilot and Flying J truck stops. Closest one to San Diego is on I805 at the border.

I also use the GasBuddy ap and of course Walmart. Not familiar with SoCal fueling options but it seems that there would be several on I5.

We use gasbuddy also, just switch it to dieselbuddy.

Sanidumps is a good ap also. If the stars line up you can fuel, dump, replenish water, grab ice and get the coach washed at same stop.

We use "Allstays Camp & RV" app, iOS & Android.  By far the best around and worth every penny of its one-time cost.  Shows locations of Elks, Walmart, truck stops, campgrounds and many other things RVers are interested in while enjoying the good life.

We are in San Diego and we always want to park with full tank.  We prefer to fill at Flying J truck pumps, so we fill up at a Pilot/Flying J on the way to San Diego and then top off near town.

Westbound: I-8 Golden Acorn Casino truck pumps, Campo CA, 51 miles from Mission Beach.
Southbound: I-15 Pechanga Casino truck pump, Temecula CA, 46 miles from Mission Beach.
Both easy in and out, located not far from Interstate.  Both also have free overnight dry camping.

San Diego has few good truck stops located in convenient locations.

Glenn,
Don't know what fuse boxes you are referring to, but the ones at the foot of our bed have a latch that you have to pull up on before pulling out. Sometimes the release is sticky.
Hope that helps.

Glenn, just off I15 on Miramar road is a USA gas station that has a diesel lane for big rigs. Have not tried it with the toad but looks doable. My 38 foot coach has no problem there. Its just west of the 15. PM me if you want. We live 2 miles from there.
