Mirrors

Picked up a new to me set of mirrors and want to add the cas 750 "hats" to the top of the main mirror body.

Ramco says pry the glass off and drill a hole from the inside to mount these.

Anyone tried VHB tape?  Hate to pry the silicone adhesive off and pry the Velcro apart.

Probably going to have the mirror assembly's and new Hadley's I have ceramic clear coated before mounting them.

Embee coatings in Santa Ana, ca has done this for my dirt bike shiny stuff and now you can windex off dirt and such.

I think they can mask off the unneeded to be coated areas.  Will know more after a get a scrounged set of "hats" from Ramco.

Thanks for looking

Can't you drill carefully from the top, and use needle nose to bolt them on?

The instructions I got with my Top Hat mirrors said to push the top of the existing mirror all the way in and drill from the inside. It worked, but you need to have a very sharp drill bit and take care not to scratch the existing mirror .... perhaps mask it off.

Thanks I thought others had mounted them without removing the glass.
