I have no idea. I had the batteries out when I put the new battery box in. I took pics and put it all back the way it was. My solar panel control board says, house batteries 16.2 volts, start battery 13.2 volts, all the time.

The grounds are connected together so you only need one "Boost" relay.

After yesterdays high level discussion regarding batteries, we have decided there is no cost saving trying to mix and match battery sizes and we're going to replace the group 24 and the AGM battery that looks like it belongs in an emergency light with (3) 8D flooded cell batteries.  We agree that AGM and Gel technologies are much more vibration resistance and the Optima spiral plate technology really is top of the line, however we see no need for batteries that will out live us.

Plus the Siata takes a group 24.

I would recheck those pictures.  Even if wired this way when you bought the rv, this does not mean they are wired correctly.

Previous owner may have been trying get by with a weak battery.

At the least it is worth having someone with knowledge of your system check it out in person, and advise you.

With that high of a charge voltage it might also be worth updating your posibly 27 year old charger.

It is so much easier to spend others money, than my own.  Good luck with your replacements.  So it sounds like lifepo4 batteries are out, just kidding.

I just went thru some of your conclusions and decided to go with 3 Oriellys AGM 8ds.  With a military discount, they seemed reasonable until I get some idea of my needs of how much I'll be plugged in compared to not.

Two yrs ago I put in used East Penn AGM 8Ds, until I knew my usage requirements, and after 2 yrs, I am still not sure.
