Allison shift pad

Ha! I thought of you the other day as we moved from the flats to Flagstaff @ 7K, a VERY HARD pull. I watched my temp gauges, yes, in 90 degree temps, you drive by them, everything heated, of course, but both gauges did indicate no problems. The six-speed just like any faithfull employee, just did her job: shifting as needed, a lot on the steeper climbs, I never fooled with changing gears.
What I had thought was factory, and turned out to be Bretts' invention was the location of the the Allison shifting pad and the retarder switch. What a smart idea! I can glance down easily and see what gear I'm in + the retarder switch is in a perfect position to reach over and activate it!

Hey Mike. There sure is a lot of dust on that shift pad.  :))
