Tank/propane/backup camera system.

As I mentioned yesterday, I had some issues preventing me from picking up my new to me '93 U225.  Hoping to get some answers before dealer calls me back.
1)  At first neither the system monitor nor back up camera would function at all.  Then for un-related reasons, I moved the coach and suddenly the system monitor lit up, but not the back up camera.
Any suggestions why?  Loose wire?  Ghosts?
2)  Quick search revealed that replacement system monitors are available.  See level is one manufacturer.  Comments?  Reliable?  Hard to install?  I've turned a few wrenches, but never on a coach kind of experience here.  Saw one system that stuck on the outside of tanks, making install more simple.  What are her tanks made of?
3)  Back up cams.  Honestly, do YOU use yours, or am I fixation?  If needed to replace, do I go hard wired or blue tooth?
In restless dreams I walked alone.
Narrow streets of cobblestone.

Just installed our see level system a few weeks ago.  One display  above the entry door and one in the wet bay. Looks to be working great.    Dumped the gray W and watched the display drop like a rock. Coach wasn't completely level so it said about 3% on the fresh.  Took a look at the tank and yep.  Just a smidge of water left.

Moby,
Our back up cam is on a separate part of the system. You have to switch between the two modes to get either tank levels or backup cam.
Other systems are deemed more reliable by most of the posters on this site.
I use our back up cam constantly. Not only for driving in reverse, but for watching the towed and making sure when I have passed traffic to come back into the lane.

We use the backup camera all the time we are in motion. I used the factory wiring but some may have had luck with wireless. Here is a wireless using the same camera and monitor we have but wireless: Wireless IR Rear View Backup Camera Night Vision System +7" Monitor For RV... The most representative photo is the one in the underground garage.

Our GVs really need extra side cameras, especially on the right side. Every trip, I almost crush a car down in the blind spot. A lot of monitors have split screens so you see all three (or two cameras) at the same time. Others have mounted a large monitor that hangs down from the overhead. The best thing is that even a 3 camera system is cheap, cheap, cheap. Easy DIY so don't let a middle man bump the price up. Some are as low as $30 delivered to your door. They work well at night with the IR capability. Good to keep an eye on your toad.

I just used the stock wiring with a little work in the back with a soldering iron. You can buy adapters so no soldering is necessary. The front is pretty easy.

A ebay search will bring up a huge amount of sellers. Our backup camera/monitor is almost 8 years old and still works fine.
