Pre-departure Checklist

First big trip in the coach on Friday. 2 of our grandkids ages 7 and 13 are flying in to ATL. Then we're heading to FL for a week at the beach.

Anyone have a pre-departure checklist you're willing to share?

FWIW,
Here is one from the UK that I think is thorough. I have used it. Best of Travels  Motorhome List - John Harris' Checklist
Wow, that's a pretty comprehensive list!  Thanks for sharing.

I also found a pretty good starter checklist on FMCA.  If you all have any suggestions specific to our coaches please pass them along.

Mark,
I know you have a brand new dryer assembly, but it has been mentioned to carry a dryer by-pass for emergencies. Search and it shows the few parts it takes to make one.

Toad checklists are important, especially if driving late and making repeated stops. I forgot to turn the key back on after a late night stop and scrubbed off a little front tire tread. Steering locked a couple of degrees from straight ahead. Nothing serious but had to replace the tires early. Didn't like them that well anyway so it was a good excuse.

Watched an almost new 42 footer plant a concrete light stand a couple of feet into one of his midship compartments at an Arco station. Late in the afternoon, tired and no one in the passenger's seat. He reversed back into the street and left leaving lots of parts in the service station without even getting out to check the damage. Must have done $50K damage. Incredible noise sure got everyone's attention.

I'm sure the checklists mention awnings, for good reason! The pic shows what happened to a new SOB that bailed with the big awning out. Took out the light stanchion and bent the heck out of the awning.  :-[
