HWH Pressure Relief Valve

Currently having issues with the HWH leveling system on our 1989 ORED GV leveling system.
Problem has slowly crept up on us.
Actuate kick down jacks down--pump runs on for about 1.5 minutes then stops.
Initiate leveling operation--jacks lower slowly until contacting ground--pump stops after about 1.5 minutes.
Lifting coach to level position? Almost nonexistent but pump runs for about 1.5 minutes.
Not even enough pressure to extend rear jacks without intervention on my part by individual paddle switch movement. Even then the jacks do not lift hardly at all.
Only mention in trouble shooting part of HWH manual says to adjust pressure relief valve--or replace if adjustment doesn't work.
No part number or specifications anywhere so how/where would I get one?

have you checked the hydraulic fluid level with system in stored position, as you do not mention it?
have you lubed the pistons and pressure valve on side of cylinder(wheel at top of it, and does the other moving parts too?
Are the T handles on valves backed off (on pump unit) and if all these are done and still not working right remove one of the solenoids and check condition of O rings as may be bypssing.
I had the kickdown 600 style on the 93 225 and did all these things when I had same problems along with checking the ground wires on each cylinder for condition.
Just my thoughts.

I have same system.  All of my kick down solenoids are leaking, but it does work, just makes a mess.  Put a small flat pan under each leg when testing or at home.

Found a troubleshooting narrative and a parts list.

First, I would suggest hooking up a pressure gauge to the pump outlet to see if it is building pressure.  It could of failed and will not build enough pressure.  Pump is rated for 3000 or 3500 psig.

Anyone else with a HWH Series 400 unit have a sudden jerk when raising the front jacks, the rears seem normal?

If this is a jerk as you stow the jacks, that is not unusual if they are under a bind (some sideways force).  If this happens all the time, that is different.

Jacks are smooth going to vertical, when you ask the jack to extend the first time it is smooth, asking it to extend a second time there is a sudden drop, then the pump kicks in and raises the coach up.  It's the sudden jerk or drop that I can't figure out, the rear one's are fine.

Nancy, My guess is that one or both  front  piston shafts  are bent  or the housings are dented . Maybe from light impact? They are pretty low.
Hawk, sounds like low pressure but sound electrics. IMHO.
As far as the OP . Get a pressure gauge from tractor supply o r Rural king. for about 10$.  get the 3000 or 5000# .  Start with pressure check.
My  88 series 400 pump, made noise but did nothing.  Changed the oil , check the electrics, etc.    The pump gear housings were worn out.  I found the OE maker and called for parts.  Big hassle-  long turn around time.  Did not look like I would get the pieces.  The housings were worn badly, but a light scuff on the glass table on 320 paper showed good results.  I polished the housing pretty smooth and now it works.
Short story*** start with pressure checks.  I also checked my over pressure bypass valve and most of the solenoids.  All good.
I rebuilt the pump, added  mobile one  and it works pretty well.  I still dont get the rear tires off of the ground  but i am waiting  to repair the RF cylinder. Stuck .
I also recommend a filter on the return line to the tank . Get the tank spotless inside  and it should stay that way for a while.

HWH relief valve cartridge # RAP3627---$111.00 from HWH
After discussion with HWH their answer was the relief valve was causing my problem.
We'll see. Got one coming.

Tough to diog the relief valve without pump pressure value. IMHO.

Mine is not quite functioning as it should I think. Getting one yellow light. Tiny round plastic bubble level that rides on the console table not very accurate. This post on the older HWH jack systems is quite valuable once I start digging into it. Need to take some days off just get this thing sorted out, or stop going to church on Sunday.

Find your HWH level sensor, it's about 3 in in dia and probably under the sink or in a heater cabinet. Now find a level parking lot park, make sure the coach is level by checking with a 3 ft level at various places inside.  Adjust  the level sensor by adjusting the hold down screws to get all lights off, that should do it.
