LITHIUM BATTERY VOLTAGE DIVERGENCE

The voltage of several cells from my 16-cell, 48 volt LiFePo4 battery pack, rise exponentially near the end of the solar charge cycle. Some divergence is normal, but I was expecting the voltage of all cells to correlate better The Orion BMS is trying to balance them, but may take weeks to balance the cells due to it's low current balancing capability. It resistively drains off power from the higher voltage cells and does not transfer power to the lower voltage cells.

Anyone have lithiums that exhibit the same phenomenon?  Or do I have defective cells?
