Refrigerator Halon Fire Extinguisher

A couple of folks wanted to see how I "mounted" the fire extinguisher.  I got a chuckle out of that and below you'll see why.  It would be nice to mount it mid-cabinet, but I honestly don't think it will make much difference.  When the head releases the halon it's going to flood that tiny space instantly, displacing the O2 and snuffing the fire.  At least that's the theory.

The directions say the cylinder can be oriented in any direction as long as the head or top of the cylinder is not pointed downwards.  The unit I purchased has the 155 deg F head.  There's a higher temp head available but I believe it's intended for the engine compartment.

Please note the fancy, custom, yellow mounting brackets.  If you want to copy my install, I have some extra yellow "brackets".

They have a model with the head on a 3' hose. Mounted the bottle in the cabinet under the refer. Then put in the residential refer.😏

What will prevent re-ignition, that's what the control board will try to do.

Not that much hydrogen released. Reigniting not likely. Rodent nest, dust bunnies will burn first time around.
