Toad lights not working

This is a first. Checked to see if the signal/stop lights were working, as they ALWAYS have worked.....but no dice. I just read owners manual to see if there is a fuse for me to look at before I get out the multi tester and try and see what  isn't right. Am I approaching this correctly?? No idea of problem. Ho[e the POLICE don't get me. Thanks

Glen, do you have diodes in the system back at the lights? If you have checked the outputs at the plug with a meter or test light and have power there, you might check to see if the diodes are still in good shape.

I don't know if you would have a factory fuse for your towd light harness.  I don't think our coach has one...

So many variables in towd wiring it's hard to give specific advice.  Like Len said, easiest place to start is at the trailer light plug.  Check the coach side of the plug - see if you have good power at each wire.  If that is good, then check the wiring continuity on the towd side.  If towd lights were working, and suddenly stopped working, the likely cause is a bad ground or broken wire or loose connector somewhere.

Hunting trailer (towd) light wiring problems can be a pain in the rear.  They always happen at the most inconvienient time.

We, too, had towed lighting problems for several months. Stopped in at OTM and they took care of it. The first and most obvious problem was that the cable between Foretravel and Jeep was questionable. Second, and not so obvious, was the adapter that let us connect the Foretravel tail light system to the cable. Our system uses a separate bulb in the Jeep's taillight space, so we're back to one bulb for tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals.

Think I found it. Loose "hot" wire near batteries. I will check when I get my meter working again.( blown fuse ).  It's always something!!!
I hate getting beat up by inanimate objects!! Thanks
