Updating and Eliminating Some of my Foretravel Equipment and Accessories

Greeting to all of my Foretravel friends across the fruited plains!

I will be at Motorhomes of Texas next week to have some work done and a new residential refrigerator and on-demand hot water heater installed. This will make the following stuff excess to my needs:

Norcold 1210IM 4-door, 3-way RV refrigerator. This is the one that was in my RV when I purchased it on 8/8/2014. It works very well and has not given us any problems. The only reason we are replacing it is to move to a larger residential refrigerator (Samsung 17.5 cu ft French door SS refrigerator). The fridge currently has four cherry door inserts; it is very clean and looks like new.

Splendide 2000 vented washer/dryer. This appears to be in excellent condition, but I have never turned it on. The water has never even been turned on at the maniblock during my 3 1/2 years of ownership. My DW has decided she would rather have the storage space, since we plan to full-time, starting next year. MOT will remove it for us.

Atwood LP Cooktop. MOT is also removing this as we usually use either our microwave/convection oven or an induction cooktop; we now have an Instapot which is really a nice way to prepare meals. It is in very good condition and works perfectly.

Atwood 10 gallon hot water tank. The only nice thing I can say about this unit is that it still works. MOT will be removing it, too.

Sharp Carousel microwave/convection oven, model R-1851A. I removed this when I installed a new SS version. (That's why the dummy had to get an expensive SS fridge.) It still works and is better than a nonworking microwave.  :)

(Maybe) Two Rosen sun visor systems with mounts.

The fridge and W/D will be stored at MOT, but only for a short time. I will try to get some pictures up, but you should be familiar with this OEM equipment.

If you are interested in either of these large items, AND can pick them up within a couple of weeks at MOT (or make other arrangements to have them picked up), please let me know.  For additional information, please contact me by email, text, phone, or PM.

Thank you,

Trent,

What is the condition of the door of the microwave?  My MW door is cracked in several places.  A non cracked one would be an upgrade.

Is the MW at your place in OK?  I live in NW Arkansas and could pick it up from you in late April when we get back from South Texas.

Here are some pictures of the Norcold 1210IM refrigerator that I have for sale. The ice "bucket" was not in the freezer when I took these pictures, but is now; it is in perfect condition. I was shocked when I found out how much the new ones were at Camping World (almost $4000). This one is not new, but in very good condition and looks nearly new (the original plastic film is still in place over the buttons). I am asking $600 or best offer.

Here are some pictures of the Splendide 2000 washer/dryer that MOT is removing from my Foretravel. Since I have no way to verify that it is working, I am only asking $300 for it, picked up at MOT soon.

Trent, My timing was bad. A few months ago I was looking for a Splendide 2100 to replace my failed one. Would have saved me $1,500 if the timing had been right. I purchased the new 2100XC but had to drill a new hole in the side of the coach (more fiberglass/paint work) and make modifications to the closet as the new unit has a different exhaust location.  But the new unit is performing fabulously. Maybe the next project will correspond with a lower cost alternative.

Cheers, Ken

Just make sure you perform the rinse procedure on the XC monthly or your dryer will degrade its ability to dry over time

LOVE my XC that replaced the OEM 2100 unit

Trent -

I can't imagine life without the WD, let alone full time without one

now if you primarily boon dock and never hook up for weeks at a time, that would be another thing

But if you full time and boondocks 6 days a week and hook up once a week to dump and fill tanks at a campground, doing 3-4 small loads in the XC pretty cost effective vs 1 - 2 loads in the campground laundry

as always - do what makes you happy!

Time is running out on these bargains. I was surprised at the apparent lack of interest in the refrigerator. I have dropped it to $300.

Tim,
Good advise on the rinse cycle and I agree with you about liking the Splendide. I use it at least twice each week. I would not be without it.

Can someone tell me what washer/dryer comb that came in a 1999 U295? Was it a 2000 or a 2100. I need to get one to put in my coach but I don't want to have to cut another hole in the side of the coach, I would rather get the one that doesn't vent to the outside before cutting any other holes.
Thanks

Ron,
The '99 would have came with the Splendide 2000 as I don't think the 2100XL was in production yet.

My 2000 was replaced with a 2100xc without redrilling a hole.  I removed the straight black plastic tube that was a hard fit between the old unit and the wall and used flex metal tubing to go through the grille removed hole outside as the new unit was pushed in.  Once in the extra vent hose was pushed back in and the exterior grille remounted

Thanks Mike that is what I was thinking also. I bet that means the vent will not go back in the old hole and will have to modify. May consider the 7100xc. I am not really sold on the way they work but better than cutting another hole in the side of the coach.
Anyone else have suggestions.
