How to "flash" a generator when output is lost due to loss of excitation

Some power tech generators have f+ and f- labeled on the voltage regulator module.
Not your exact model, but points you where to look.

Call Jeff at Powertech and get his input. I fried a generator just by changing the regulator and matching the F+ F- #3 and the wire to the circuit breaker. A phone call would have saved me $3,000.00

The wires are labeled are F and C. F is Positive. The circuit tested approximately 27 ohms and flashing did not make any difference. I will Powertech after the holidays. Thanks for your help Foretravelers! rw
