What's That Sound?

I was asleep this morning when I heard a loud, piercing sound.  Turns out the long since dead alarm clock in the overhead cabinet resurrected itself.  When it came back to life the time and the alarm were both 12:00 AM.  I set the clock to the current time and it's running.

Pretty random.

If you have VMSpc v4.0.6 you may have been driving down the road and suddenly hear chickens clucking for a 10 seconds or so.  It is an odd artifact inadvertantly left in from testing. We have only heard in Texas so we assumed it was some odd hacking thing but then I heard from someone else it happed in Ohio.  Rare but it happens.  If your VMSpc starts clucking let me know and I will tell you how to undo it.  Or just turn the volume all the way down.

OK here are the Chickens Clucking ...

So from the top menu in VMSpc select Advanced and then Audible Alarms.
There is an audible alarm for Engine Coolant Temp.  Click on Delete and then OK.

The chickens have met their match.

I guess you have to save the mp3 file to your computer and then play it.

I always hated that setup. The clock was either wrong, too bright or off and it seemed like I was always pushing the wrong button. "What's that sound?" "Oh, I'm starting the generator again!" Behold simplicity.
