Replacement Back Up Camera

This looks like the perfect replacement to go in the spot where my original camera is now mounted.  I'm hoping to keep the OEM look without exterior mods.  Does anyone know a reason why it won't work?

Do they still make B&W??  LOL

The sample pictures of the rear image are in color and the first review noted how good the color was.

Will this camera plug into the original plug coming from the  front monitor?

No,  the camera will probably have male RCA connectors so female RCA connectors will have to be spliced onto the old cable
that comes from the monitor.

If the original camera has threaded Type F (like 75 ohm cable TV) connectors or 1/4 turn BNC connectors, adapters to RCA are readily available.  I'd like to replace my camera as well.

I cant believe how nice the picture is from the Cheap ebat cameras.  I moved mine to the vertical panel just under the OE placement.  I can back up my trailer with it or see what kind of car is following me.  With a little thought you could fit it into the OE box.  Wireless. Works best with both antennas in view of each other.

We used Tim at RVCams.com when we upgraded the rear camera in our (now Dan and Sandy's) 2003.  Major improvement.  We added side cameras as well.

I installed one 4 years ago.  It has worked fine all this time, and I am still happy with the project.  I'm sure the equipment has improved since I put ours in, and prices have probably fallen.  All I can say is..."Wireless worked for me!".

I tried a wireless system and the connection was just not quite stable enough for me.  I got a dual rear camera, side cameras, two sets of new cables front to rear and a four camera HD color monitor from Tadi Brothers.  They were very helpful, shipped quickly, had the side cameras that I wanted and after the sale customer service and technical support was very good.  And I think when it was all done it was a bit less than RVCams.  Both places are good.

I used this system for two years on my previous rv, worked terrific.  At first I had difficulty because I took the 12V from the marker lights as suggested for the rear transmitter, which when on was under voltage because of a bad ground causing under voltage issue.  Corrected ground when installing led marker lights, never had an issue after that.  I bought this particular unit because it had provision for future side camera installation.

This go around for the Fortravel I've ordered and will update post after I've installed in a few months. 7" TFT LCD Digital Color Screen Monitor Car Rear View Backup Reverse Camera... and Night Vision Backup Rear view Parking Kit Camera for Car Bus Truck RV IR...
